Today will be my last day of fasting

as i knew i would not be able to do 7 days. and a vegeterian friend said i should do a fruit and veggie fats instead. But i must say aside from my headache and aching body i can tell with my urine (TMI) that my body was cleaning shop. i didn't realy have to do number two but i did have to pee a lot more.

Day 2 and three

Yesterday i started fantasizing about pizza. And i had to make pineapple juice. which gave me some relief. i stil made a celery and apple juice.

But i made a bad decision of going roller skating also whihc has left my body aching and tired. How i managed to skate was beyond me becausemy energy was low.

Today i drank carrot juice. i don't like carrot juice but i like carrots steamed. i hate them raw. Go figure

This post was filled with fragments. i apologize

It has begun...

A little after seven i took the oral Sodium Phosphate/Sodium Biphosphate that is supposed to clean me out before i start this impromptu Juice Fast. It's supposed to be for seven days. I don't know how long it will last

For the 7-day detox juice fast, a different juice is consumed each of the seven days:
• Day 1: Apple and celery juice: Intestines, liver, kidneys. Use 1/2 apple juice and 1/2 celery juice.

• Day 2: Pineapple juice: Enzyme bromelain for the small intestine. Also specifically helpful for inflammation, allergies, arthritis, edema, and hemorrhoids.

• Day 3: Lemon juice and water: Detoxify and cleanse the liver. Add the fresh juice of 1/2 lemon for cup of water.

• Day 4: Carrot Juice: Liver, lungs, kidneys, eyes.

• Day 5: Beet Juice: Removes toxins from the liver into the bloodstream. Also specifically helpful for arthritis and menstrual problems.

• Day 6: Green Juices: Believed to cause an exchange of toxins across membranes resulting in the systematic flushing of toxins out of the body. Also specifically helpful for circulation, skin, digestive problems, obesity, bad breath

• Day 7: Distilled Water: Cleanses the entire system.

When Jebus wept (read: this has nothing to do with Good Friday)

Big Improv

I’m home on a Friday night for the first time and also didn't venture to Brooklyn at all today. Kenji and Mark will have their monthly spades night today but I aint going because I have to be in Brooklyn early tomorrow to shoot Kenji. and then it's off to help my cousins with there homework. I hope their father made them do some today. Grrr. Older parents be on some other ish sometimes and I understand that raising kids in pass ur forties is not the same as when u were in ur twenties.

Completely randumb. I’ve out of the loop I think in regards to current affairs if it wasn't browsing message boards I wouldn't know about the right-to-die case, Terry Schiavio, or the teen hostage situation which turned out to be a hoax I believe. I’m more distant with my classmates this semester but I think many are feeling it. nor will I bring in race into the equation though I feel that it's hard to relate my life experience with many of them.

As for dating I’m digging it but I don't know how long I can last before I either fall for someone or just stop dating. it's fun but it requires time and energy. But it helps if ur dating interesting people. right now I think I’ve been blessed with whom I have met.

filling in the gaps

New Flash, new day.

so I bought a new flash-- a ringlight flash that goes in front of my lens and got these
results.

In the past month, 2005 has become more interesting. a lot of people seem to be missing me since I’ve gone awl. not on purpose though. Between school, my teaching internship that forces me to be at school at 8 am, Tuesdays and Fridays, doing freelance work for departments on campus (that's what the above pictures are for).

I honestly have been having gripes with the professor who teaches the class I have to observe all semester. he seems sincere but stuck in his ways and can be harsh on the class. and plus I don't think poetry is a great way to get students to learn how to write essays. Poetry is really open to interpretation. but I have to ride this out if I want to take a stab at being an adjunct teacher next school year. Even though I feel like I don't what I’m doing. But that's what my teaching course is for. Speaking of that, I have a paper -- first draft due on that class after the break. So far I have been soliciting teachers to tell me what led to their tenure as a teacher. I’m hoping this will help me in developing the opening paragraph that I have:
On a very early Friday morning, I am sitting in a freshman composition class as is required for me to teach the subject in the near future. A student sits in the back attempting to catch some sleep without the professor noticing. While others leave their cell phones on, only to have to turn it off when the ring tone disturbs the class. I find myself laughing at these intrusions that remind me of my days as a young unsure freshman. In a recent Time article , a Syracuse University professor described incidents where her students had unhealthy dependences to their parents. In one scenario, students claimed they were late for class because their mothers didn’t call to wake them up; in another scenario students called their parents from the classroom to complain about a grade and passed the phone to the professor in the middle of class. There are variations to these stories throughout elementary and high school where the tug-of-war between parents and teachers is either beneficial to both, painful, or just plain nonexistent. If post high school is when one begins the journey to adulthood how should a student be taught to be self-reliant, responsible, and better writers? A better way to answer this question is to understand how my life led me to working on an MFA in Creative Writing.
I’m thinking of it as a teaching narrative because a writing narrative seems too by-the-numbers for me.

So i finally drafted a syllabus

for my Teaching course and it wasn't as painful as i thought it would be. i just needed to find the right anthology to serve as the basis of a freshman Composition course, if i manage to teach one next semester. The emphasis is on essays so i opetd on The Best American Essays of 2004 and also the diverse The Oxford Book of American Short Stories.

But i still have second story to finish by Thursday. grumble

Business plans and Lost Men

This past sunday me and steve ventured into the Bronx to get some shots of the location where we will be shooting the second half of his independent short film, Lost Man. An overpass that leads into park. Somehow i have taken on the titel of Producer and will help out in several modes i guess. Hopefully, by the time we start filiming this special effects laden sequence, i will have a busines plan done for our supposed film/photography company.

But i know very little about business and the literature i have collected is only helping me so much.
if anyone can provide simples to understand information for starting a small business please let me know.

i finished Danzy Senna's second book really quickly. She is one hell of a story teller. but i hope she can move on from the themes of being biracial and make it part of a much bigger story. Because i feel like i have read about peices of her life in both books which is not really an issue but i'd liek to see what else she can do with her talent. I'd like to see what she could do with a mystery.
